favourite restaurant

Freej Swaileh

freej swaileh is my best restaurant in kuwait,
i think it has only one branch in kuwait and no where else.
it is a Kuwaiti restaurant which serves kuwaiti food only,
i love eating from this restaurant because they have my best meal,
my best meal is "chicken majbous" which is basically rice and chicken that was cooked in kuwaiti
way.
all of the meals that are shown in the menu below.

This is the most authentic / traditional Kuwaiti restaurant I've been to in Kuwait.
You get a feeling for traditions as you walk in past the colourful 60s pick-up truck outside - an old Ford I believe.
The restaurant is set out in 2 floors - the first floor for single males; the second floor which is cubicled is for families and mixed groups.
You can book ahead and if dining early, this is advisable... as queues can be long.
On stepping into the restaurant you are transported back to a traditional 50s/60s Kuwaiti ambience. The restaurant is reminiscent of days gone by with dimly lit cabins on the second floor.
However, Freej Soeleh is more known for its food than its ambience.
My personal choice is soup served in a bread bowl, thasreeb or machboos, but whatever you
choose on the menu is served in plentiful and tasty portions.
Just be wary of over-ordering. You will be served complimentary salad greens, sweets and nibbles so be wary.
On the second floor there is also small shop that sells traditional Kuwaiti deserts.

its located in salmya near the marina mall
rating is 4.8 out of 5
